Divine Wisdom and the Holy Spirit: the Forgotten Feminine Face of God with Anne Baring, Ph.D

Anne Baring’s new book is written in honor of the Divine Feminine, the forgotten Feminine Face of God. It traces the worship of the Great Mother through the Palaeolithic and Neolithic Eras and explains how the image of deity changed from Great Mother to Great Father in the Bronze age, around 2,000 BCE.

It also explains how the image of the Goddess, the consort of Yahweh, was deleted from the god-head in 623 BCE by a group of priests in Jerusalem, leaving Yahweh as the sole deity. These priests then created The Myth of the Fall, giving Eve the former title of the Goddess — “Mother of All Living”. The three patriarchal religions never included the Divine Feminine in the god-head and we are left with the result today.

The book also explores Kabbalah, the Gnostics, the Essenes, and the relationship and joint Mission of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. It includes two chapters on The Abuse of Power and ends with a final chapter on the task facing us today: to create a new and better civilization and to recognize that we are all divine and immortal souls.
