Although modern Western science has been very successful in many areas, there are some situations where it cannot explain the effects which are observed. One example is Oriental Medicine, where the central concept of chi and of “yin” and “yang” cannot be explained by Western science. In recent years, careful lab experiments have shown that this energy, call it chi or subtle energy, is very real, has real effects, and yet is not described or understood by Western science. This energy is associated with human consciousness, and in the case of highly trained individuals such as Yogis or Qi Gong masters has been found to create effects which dramatically violate the principles of Western physics. In this lecture series, we describe some of the strongest and most dramatic of those effects. In the Workshop on Saturday, we will describe recent Russian discoveries which may explain this energy in scientific terms.

Saturday’s Workshop describes Torsion, the new Science of Subtle Energy
Dr. Claude Swanson was educated as a physicist at MIT and Princeton University. For the last 17 years, interspersed with his conventional professional career in applied physics, Dr. Swanson has pursued investigations into “unconventional physics.” His principal interest has been unified field theory, the so-called “Theory of Everything” which could explain the universe at the deepest possible level. This has led him to investigate many aspects of the paranormal, which appear to be completely real phenomena that violate our present science. Paranormal phenomena, which have now been proven in the laboratory in many cases, offer a window into the deeper universe, the mysteries of consciousness, and unlock new forces and principles which conventional science has only begun to glimpse.
