Monday, January 5, 6 – 8 pm,
with Michelle Saxer, NKP, SEP.
What is NeuroKinetic Movement? NeuroKinetic Movement is nervous-system based movement that is designed to break habitual physical patterns and create new possibilities of movement. The focus is to learn new ways to: relieve pain and tension, refine posture, improve performance, increase core stability, increase energy efficiency, and generally enhance health.
The slow, small movements explored in these non-aerobic classes draw on concepts from Feldenkrais, Iyengar Yoga, Aston Patterning and Pilates, in a unique way to increase body awareness and efficiency of movement.
The Workshops Each workshop will explore movements related to a specific topic with general explanations about anatomy and therapeutic conditions associated with the topic. While the six workshops have been designed as a comprehensive series, each can be taken individually.
