Each of us develops personal myths, based on our life experiences, beginning in childhood. These myths tend to be largely unconscious yet have a profound influence on our thinking and behavior. Many personal myths hold us back on our journey towards wholeness and fulfillment. Others have lifelong benefit. As we understand what shapes our guiding myths, we become less bound by the myths of childhood and culture and more able to shape our own directions and patterns.

In their book, The Mythic Path, authors Stanley Krippner, Ph.D. and David Feinstein, Ph.D. observe –  …a basic balance is shifting worldwide so that consciousness is beginning to outweigh events in influencing the unfolding of history… – Myth-making has become a progressively intentional process.

Join in our discussion as we learn how to identify our guiding myths and replace the ones that aren’t working. Our event will include a guided meditation from the book mentioned above, called Meeting Your Inner Shaman, which helps us identify these personal myths through which we see the world.
