We hold a great power within us – a power that gives us the ability to overcome any obstacle in our lives. Saying “yes” dissolves resistance as well as inner and outer blocks to our life and well being. When we say “yes” to the inner guidance that calls to us through such vehicles as an inner longing, dreams, meditation or even outside circumstances, synchronicities start to happen, allies appear, blocks dissolve, energy flows and we witness the unfolding of a vital creative order. The German author, Goethe, wrote, “Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All kinds of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred…Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now.”
Likewise, when we say “yes” to events that seem to threaten our efforts at peace rather than meeting them with resistance, we can respond from a more heart-centered perspective without adding to the tension. Isabel Hickey’s quote, “Absent to the appearance is present with the power” comes to mind.
Please join us as we explore the many areas in which the power of “yes” can change our lives.
What is IONS? The Institute of Noetic Sciences™founded in 1973 by Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit research, education, and membership organization whose mission is supporting individual and collective transformation through consciousness research, educational outreach, and engaging a global learning community in the realization of our human potential. “Noetic” comes from the Greek word nous, which means “intuitive mind” or “inner knowing.” IONS™ conducts, sponsors, and collaborates on leading-edge research into the potentials and powers of consciousness, exploring phenomena that do not necessarily fit conventional scientific models while maintaining a commitment to scientific rigor.
The Caritas Center sponsors one of a global network of self-organizing community groups that study and discuss the work of IONS.
