Rediscovering My Body After Cancer: A workshop for couples

Posted on: October 16, 2017

Saturday, November 11, 9 am – 1 pm,

With Tara Galeano, L.P.C., CST.

Many couples find that intimacy and sexuality change after or during cancer treatment. This workshop focuses on couples where one partner has had cancer and the other has been the caregiver. The role of lovers has been lost. This class will focus on the health of the couple and use TRE (Tension, Stress and Trauma Releasing Exercises), body awareness exercises, and mindfulness practices to help the couples begin to reconnect in a sensual way.

Together, we can create a plan to navigate the emotional, mechanical, and relational obstacles to reignite your passions and your new sense of self.

Pricing per couple:

General Public $150, Caritas Members $130

Tara Galeano helps couples rekindle their sexuality after cancer. She is a certified sex therapist and teaches the class, Rediscovering My Body after Cancer, to amazing, courageous women who have had cancer. For the past four years, she has taught this class at Boulder Community Health. Currently, she is creating an online course based on this class to make the content more accessible to women, men, and couples everywhere. Tara is also inspired by her studies of Ayurveda, Sanskrit, and being a grandma. She is currently writing a book based on the Rediscovering My Body class, so she may share widely with all those that are seeking sexual renewal after cancer. Tara can be reached at [email protected].
