  • What causes  the Higher Self/Soul in human beings to forget its self awareness?
  • Why the word Maya in Indian Philosophy is generally translated as illusion, and what does illusion really mean?
  • What is the nature of this illusion? What is the characteristics qualities of this illusion?
  • How is the illusion finally overcome leading to Self awareness.
  • Techniques adopted to overcome the illusion.

Based on the teachings of Lord Krishna in the immortal spiritual classic the Bhagavad Gita and as explained by Paramahansa Yogananda, the celebrated author of the, “Autobiography of a Yogi”

 

As always, the material, though proceeding from Hindu scripture, embodies universal Truth as well as universal application.

 

Yogacharya Dharmananda (Swamiji) is a preeminent scholar and teacher of the Science of Yoga, Hindu Philosophy, and Comparative Religion. He has been the Director of the International Vishwaguru Yoga and Meditation Institute (Rishikesh, India) from its inception to November 2010. He is now permanently settled in America and is living in Loveland. His lectures, especially his mode of presentation with humor, stories, and anecdotes, have earned him wide acclaim.
