Psychological Sanctuary: How to Find It, Expand It, and Maintain It, with Eliana and Chris Salter

Posted on: January 2, 2019

FREE MEETUP  Wednesday, January 23rd, 2019

6:00 – 7:30 PM

Featuring Eliana And Chris Salter

Abraham Maslow’s pyramid of needs puts shelter just above food and water. Psychologically, a sanctuary is a PRIMARY need. Violations of the sanctuary, breaches of trust, uncertainty, betrayal, can trigger fear, anger, anxiety, and PTSD. When people or situations we thought we could depend on turn on us or prove unreliable, its very hard, but very necessary to find another way to restore our equilibrium and peace.

This session will explore some of our subconscious social triggers, various ways to recognize them, and methods to mitigate and calm the reactive mind. Beyond that, we will discuss ways to reframe our lives, to build, expand and create a sense of sanctuary within our selves, our family, our environment, both mental and physical.

We will have snacks as well.
